A visa is a conditional authorization to enter in to a foreign country within or to leave the country. Types of visas vary from country to country. Major visa categories are:

• Business Visa: A Business Visa is a Non-Immigrant visa, strictly given to those who would like to make a business-related trip to any foreign country, Only for attending Meetings, Conferences, Sales meet, Data gathering, attending training programs and product demonstration.
• Visitor Visa/Tourist Visa: A Visitor Visa or a Tourist visa is also a Non-Immigrant visa strictly given to those who would like to make a travel for Touristic, Pleasure, visiting Friends or relatives or for medical treatment.

• Long Term Work Permit: A Long Term Work Permit is an authorization to a job within any foreign country for a specific long duration. Long term permit starts from 1 year to 5 years depending on the requirement and the foreign country regulations. Long Term permits are of several types depending on the foreign country regulations and the requirement of an expat.
• Short Term Work Permit: A Short Term Work Permit is a permission to carry out short term assignments in a foreign country from 2-6 months duration. A Short Term Work Permit can be termed as Temporary Work Permit or Special Pass or Temporary Employment Pass. The objective of a Short Term Work Permit is to fulfil a short term assignment within a stipulated tie frame depending on the Foreign Country Regulations.

A Permanent Residence Permit is a Permission to a Foreigner to reside indefinitely within the country to which he/she is not a citizen. The foreigner with such status is known as a Permanent resident.
